Ken is an energetic, hardworking, and faith-driven man who enjoys family, sports, fitness, learning, and helping others.

Ken Fishburn has never been one to sit still. Whether he was solving mechanical problems, teaching a Sunday School class, training for a race, or cheering on his favorite team, he has spent his life staying engaged, helping others, and making the most of every day.
Over the years, Ken wore many hats. He worked as a mechanic, served as a teacher, and spent time working for the post office. He enjoyed troubleshooting problems and keeping busy, something that suited his energetic personality well. Those who knew him professionally would likely describe him as hardworking, dependable, and always ready for the next challenge.
Family has always been one of Ken's greatest priorities. During his first marriage, he and his wife, Darlene, raised five children together, including foster and adopted children who became part of the family they lovingly built. He was a deeply involved father who believed in showing up, helping out, and creating opportunities for those he loved. Later in life, he found love again with Jane, and together they enjoyed family gatherings, sporting events, and the traditions that made their house feel like home.
Faith has guided Ken throughout his life. One of the moments that shaped him most was accepting Christ on the same day as his sister, a memory that remained meaningful through the years. He went on to teach Sunday School and invest in the lives of others through church, encouragement, and service. He believes in listening, helping, and inspiring people whenever he can.
Ken has always enjoyed learning, growing, and staying active. He trained as a pilot in his early twenties, ran races, loved reading, followed sports closely, and maintained a commitment to exercise throughout his life. In fact, he was such an exercise enthusiast that he worked out in the same gym as Mr. Universe and proudly completed the Indianapolis Mini-Marathon at age 60 even finishing the final stretch on his hands. His love of sports continues today, especially when it comes to basketball and Indiana teams like the Fever, Pacers, Colts, and Hoosiers.
Today, Ken continues to find joy in music, reading, conversation, exercise, and time spent with others. Known for his sense of humor, kind heart, and willingness to listen, he remains someone people naturally gravitate toward. His life has been defined by faith, perseverance, and a genuine desire to help others along the way.
As Ken might say himself, he fully expects to graduate to heaven someday and in the meantime, he plans to keep learning, laughing, and encouraging those around him.
